Fittings and Valves
Tube fittings can be a source of sulfur and mercury adsorption and sample loss. Exposed fitting and valve surfaces will react with active compounds (like sulfur, H2S, NOx and mercury) at ppb and ppm levels. Inaccurate readings, delayed response and false positive readings due to memory effects can be traced directly to active fitting and valve surfaces. Regulators and flow control

Sample Probes
Sampling probes are used in a variety of applications, including sampling natural gas, stack, flare, or other process streams. Probes are often exposed to severe conditions involving corrosive gasses, high temperatures, and active compounds such as hydrogen sulfide and sulfur. An untreated probe contributes to the active surface area in the system and may experience severe corrosion which further contributes to system activity. SilcoNert™2000 treated or Silcolloy™1000 treated probes can increase probe life while eliminating potential sources of activity.

Heated Sample Lines
A heated “trace line” consists of standard grade or electropolished tubing that has been insulated and bundled with heating devices to ensure the sample is transferred at a consistent temperature. Heated trace lines are used in stacks, flares and other point source emission applications. Active compounds in samples can quickly be adsorbed into the hot tubing resulting in false or poor analytical results.
