SilcoTek™, formerly Restek Performance Coatings, invented SilcoNert (Silcosteel®) in 1987. From the start our unique chemical vapor deposition process minimized waste and harmful emissions.
Today SilcoTek continues its green heritage by eliminating waste and emitting zero harmful emissions to the environment. Unlike other manufacturers who are promoting a green image or treating green like a fad, SilcoTek has evolved its green process through years of development and refinement.

Receiving
Customer parts are received for coating, customer boxes and packing materials are recycled or reused. Last year SilcoTek recycled 26 tons of cardboard, 28 tons of paper and 4 tons of glass.
Cleaning
SilcoTek uses only environmentally safe, bio-degradable cleaning solutions when preparing standard customer parts for coating. SilcoTek uses a water based soap and warm water to clean customer parts. Our discharge is ph neutral and meets all local, state and federal clean water regulations.
Coating
SilcoTek developed its own state of the art automated chemical vapor deposition process designed to emit ZERO greenhouse gases and ZERO CFC’s or other toxic chemicals. The SilcoTek process is so clean the only process by-products are water and sand! SilcoTek’s green process is not required to be monitored under state and federal clean air or water standards.
Packaging/Shipping
SilcoTek recycles customer containers where possible and uses bio-degradable and recyclable packaging materials.
