SilcoTek works with a variety of partners to help smooth the logistics of an outplant operation or to provide improved options for assuring coating quality.

Easing the logistics:
Frustrated with having to work with a shop that machines items, sends them to your offices, repackaging these items, send to SilcoTek just to have them coated and shipped back? Are you finding that issuing 2 Purchase order to get 1 job in house is inefficient? Of course, these tasks add time and expense to any job.

SilcoTek will partner with your subcontractors, or recommend subcontractors, to reduce the logistics of getting parts treated.

We will work directly to receive items from subcontractors, apply the coating and ship the finished product either back to the subcontractor, or forward direct to the end-use point.

SilcoTek also partners with very capable machine shops that we can recommend if it is time for a change in suppliers.

Through working with one of SilcoTek’s partners, you can issue 1 purchase order, specify your coating and get the completed and coated item.

In addition, our partners have adapted their cleaning and handling procedures to insure we get the highest quality coating in the fastest possible turnaround time.

Quality:
The most important factor to a quality coating is the cleanliness of the parts sent for coating. SilcoTek’s advanced solvent-less system is quite effective in over 95% of jobs we receive. Still, we run into problems with cleaning for a few uniquely machined items, extremely complex geometries and some electropolished surfaces.

For cases where we find there is an opportunity for improvement, SilcoTek can recommend potential cleaning sources that we can outsource parts to for coating.
