SilcoTek Order Process: From Quoted to Coated

Let's talk about the order process flow here at SilcoTek. Whether you're a first-time customer or a long-time partner, knowing what to expect can make your experience smooth and efficient. Here’s a step-by-step look at how our order flow works - from the initial quote to final invoicing.

 

 

Step 1: Contact and Quote

The first step is talking to a sales or quotes representative about what you are interested in having quoted. We will take the part material, dimensions, end use, application, cleanliness, and specifications into consideration when determining the best coating for you. This step is crucial as it allows our experts to make sure you get the best coating for the job. 

Once we know the details of your order, we will issue a quote that will include: 

  • Coating recommendations tailored to your application
  • Pricing based on part volume and complexity
  • Estimated turnaround time
  • Shipping instructions sheet with your unique order number

Once the quote is accepted, you’re ready to ship your parts!

 

Step 2: Shipping Parts to SilcoTek 

After receiving your quote, package your parts carefully to avoid damage in transit. Include your purchase order, any special handling instructions, and your shipping instructions sheet.

Step 3: Receipt and Acknowledgement 

Once we receive your shipment, our receiving team inspects the contents and matches them to your PO and order. We’ll send an order acknowledgment confirming:

  • Receipt of parts
  • Order number
  • Estimated ship date

If we encounter any issues or need clarification, our Customer Service team will contact you right away. 

 

Step 4: Coating Process 

Your parts are now ready for the SilcoTek coating process. Depending on the coating selected, we follow a proprietary chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process to ensure uniform, ultra-thin, and durable coating performance.

Step 5: Quality Inspection and Shipping 

Before your parts leave our facility, they undergo a thorough quality inspection. We check for coating adherence, uniformity, and cleanliness, and we verify that your parts meet your order specifications.

After passing inspection, your parts are securely packaged and shipped back to you using your preferred carrier or per your shipping instructions.

 

Step 6: Invoicing 

Once your order ships, we’ll issue an invoice based on your order acknowledgement. Invoices are sent electronically unless otherwise requested, and we offer multiple payment options to meet your company’s needs: credit terms (please apply with our customer service team), credit cards, prepayments, or wire transfers.
