At SilcoTek, our Finance Manager/Controller is much more than the person who manages the books. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for finance and purchasing, financial planning and reporting, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and our corporate ESOP responsibilities. You'll work closely with employees, managers, and our Board of Directors, helping to turn financial information into meaningful insights and better business decisions. You'll also have the opportunity to coach and develop your team, improve processes, and help drive the company forward. What You'll Do
Lead & Develop People
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to Finance team members to support their personal and professional development.
- Lead through SilcoTek's Employee Expectations and FISHING Core Values
- Delegate effectively and provide direction and guidance across accounting functions.
- Support a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team.
Lead Finance & Purchasing
- Oversee day-to-day operations and provide backup support within the Finance and Purchasing departments.
- Create and implement effective financial and purchasing procedures, policies, standards, metrics and KPI’s.
- Create and monitor annual finance and purchasing budgets.
- Support process improvement initiatives that make our work more effective and efficient
Driving Financial Strategy
- Establish, implement, and monitor company financial forecasts, metrics, and KPIs.
- Develop and monitor company budgeting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
- Analyze financial information and provide insights that help leadership make informed business decisions.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for managers and the Board of Directors
- Help connect financial performance to company goals and profitability.
Own Financial Accuracy & Compliance
- Ensure the accuracy of internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Ensure SilcoTek maintains compliance with applicable local and federal tax regulations.
- Work with outside auditors on year-end financial reporting and tax preparation, including schedules, explanations, supporting documentation, and other required information.
- Oversee financial information within Acumatica ERP and other financial systems.
Support Our ESOP
- Manage Finance administration responsibilities related to SilcoTek's corporate ESOP calendar of events.
- Help support the financial side of our employee ownership structure.
Support Our Customers
- Respond to customer and contract review inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide a Plus 1 customer experience, even when the customer isn't directly interacting with a customer-facing department.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in accounting and finance, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Thorough knowledge of applicable tax laws and regulations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial analysis
- Strong math, analytical, and strategic planning skills
- Working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; Acumatica experience is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time and priority management
- Ability to delegate, teach, direct, and guide others.
- Ability to manage performance and profitability.
