Environics

Environics is a world leader in computerized gas flow instrumentation. A second generation women-owned family business, Environics specializes in customized systems. Environics' gas mixing technology is based on very precise control of thermal mass flow controllers (MFCs). Normally, thermal MFCs offer an accuracy +/- 1% of full-scale flow. However, when combined with Environics’ computerization and calibration, this accuracy specification is improved to +/- 1% of setpoint. Environics Engineers encourage customers to challenge them with their most difficult requirements.

Applications and Benefits

Environics utilizes SilcoTek CVD silicon surface treatment in the gas flow path to eliminate surface adsorption of active compounds like sulfurs, H2S, ammonia and mercury on stainless steel surfaces. Coating the gas flow path improves efficiency, reduces moisture contamination and prolongs unit life. A coating is often used in combination with a heated flow path and/or the purge circuit.
