High Temperature Coatings

Protect Equipment and Improve Reliabilty

Maintain Process Performance and Stability Even at High Temperatures

SilcoTek® offers CVD coating solutions engineered for demanding high temperature environments. Our coatings help components withstand elevated temperatures while resisting oxidation, corrosion, chemical attack, and fouling that can reduce performance and shorten equipment life. Get the right coating solution for your application and operating conditions.

SilcoTek's coating process bonds a thin, uniform barrier to the surface of stainless steel and other alloys. Unlike conventional coatings that can chip or flake, SilcoTek coatings become part of the surface, providing long-lasting protection and reliable performance in applications where high heat is an ongoing challenge.

High Temperature Stability

The Silcolloy® 2000 process allows customers to experience high-temperature stability in their applications. The amorphous silicon layer avoids oxidation at high temperatures to improve and prolong performance.

  • Better coating adhesion and performance at high temperatures
  • Excellent thermal stability
  • Prevents oxidation at elevated temperatures
  • Helps maintain clean surfaces in semiconductor, energy, and chemical processing equipment

Uncoated vs. Silcolloy 2000-coated 316L SS coupons were thermally exposed to 600, 700, and 800°C for 6 hours in air first, followed by coating strip to reveal the SS substrate. The oxygen content listed under each sample was obtained via EDS analysis; BDL stands for "below detection limit" which is 0.1% for the EDS analysis. The SL2000-coating SS maintained its original silver sheen whereas the uncoated SS oxidized heavily, highlighting the exceptional oxidation resistance of SL2000.
