I was chatting with a new neighbor the other day and got the question..."So what does SilcoTek® do anyway?" I typically try and keep my reply concise and interesting, but not too detailed (think elevator speech noting inert chemical vapor deposition coatings used in analytical, semiconductor, corrosion, anti-coking, & process applications). But on that day, followup questions, genuine interest by the inquisitor about inert coatings and perhaps exuberance on my part led to a full on dissertation relating where all the applications and industries SilcoTek coatings are used. There are so many applications that I thought I would try and work up a short (and by no means complete) list of where you'll find us:
Here are just a few industries and applications :
- Oil and gas downhole testing and exploration
- Power plant filtration
- Rocket propulsion systems
- Moisture detection
- Explosives detection
- Chemical weapons detection
- Food flavor & fragrance testing
- Semiconductor manufacturing components
- Corrosion resistance in pumps
- GC analytical testing
- Environmental sampling
- Flare and stack sampling
- Sampling in space exploration
- NOx testing
- Automotive exhaust testing
- CO2 testing in beverages
- Alternative energy
|
- Plant pathology & methane testing under Martian conditions
- Protein testing
- Cancer marker testing
- VOC testing in space and earth
- Aircraft engine anti coking
- Automotive and diesel engine anti coking
- Atmospheric testing
- Argon & CO2 testing
- High purity gas manufacturing and transport
- H2S & sulfur testing in upstream oil & gas
- Refinery sampling
- Chemical and petrochemical manufacturing
- LNG testing
- Catalyst testing
- High temperature oven components
- High temperature corrosion/oxidation
- Coal Gassification
- Hydrogen testing
